Eureka! secures £50,000 Garfield Weston Foundation grant to support children's learning programmes across the North
The Garfield Weston Foundation has generously awarded a grant to support Eureka!’s work developing high-quality, play-based learning for children aged 0–14 across the North of England.
The new funding will contribute to our award-winning Play and Learning Programme, which delivers curriculum-linked school sessions, hands-on science workshops, creative learning and early years activities, and SEND-inclusive days, reaching over 330,000 children and families every year, including 34,000 school pupils.
"This funding helps develop learning experiences for children who are furthest from strong education and career outcomes.
At a time when families and schools are under real pressure, this support ensures we can continue creating joyful, curiosity-driven learning that builds confidence, skills and aspiration."
Leigh-Anne Stradeski | Eureka! Chief Executive
The funding will support the work that we undertake in regions facing severe educational inequalities, including attainment in English, Maths and STEM subjects below the national average, high socio-economic deprivation, and rising SEND needs. It will also fund new careers-related learning content for older primary pupils, connecting them directly with local opportunities in green energy, health, digital and creative industries.
Eureka! remains committed to inclusive, hands-on learning that lets children explore science, technology and creativity in ways school alone can’t offer, helping shape the next generation of curious, confident learners.
