This programme of additional activities is designed specifically for families with early years children (aka Little Explorers!)

This month’s theme is: Minibeasts 🐌

The objective of this early year’s theme is to help children about the natural world around them, it also promotes curiosity and introduces the skill of observation.

The minibeast shape activity also helps children to identify and compare shapes which encourages logical thinking.

During these sessions, children can:

  • Match the missing shapes in a game to reveal the minibeast 🦋
  • Create spiderweb craft using paper plates and masking tape 🕸️
  • Explore where different minibeasts live in our tuff tray 🍃
Look closely… What can you find?
  • Investigate nature themed objects and insects in resin on our light table 🐜
  • Choose a minibeast and complete observations on its features 🐝
e.g. Does it have wings? How many legs does it have?

Whatever age or stage your early learners are at, there will be lots of engaging activities for them to be curious, to be playful and to have fun!
