Activities Available
Our Home Educator theme this February is Light & Sound, with the following bookable activities provided by ourselves and Same Difference Arts:
- The Light & Sound Show 💡
Times: 35min sessions at 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm & 3pm
Age range: 5yrs and over
(Bookable science show – choose a slot at the time of booking)
Dive into an adventure of discovery as we explore the magic of light, the mysteries of sound and their amazing effects all around us. Fun, interactive and curriculum-linked. Get ready to see, hear and discover science!
- Same Difference Arts: Sight & Sound Workshop 🔊
Times: 45min sessions at 11:30am, 1pm & 2:30pm
Age range: 5yrs and over
(Bookable workshop – choose a slot at the time of booking)
Join Same Difference Arts for a hands-on making session that brings the science of sight and sound alive. Children will design and create their own optical illusions, before heading back in time to make a string telephone and discover the humble origins of our smart phones!
NB: Please aim to arrive at least 15mins before your first booked activity. As places are limited, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to fit you into another session if you arrive late.
Plus, the following drop-in sessions…
- Eureka! Science Buskers 🥼
Times: Various pop-ups throughout the day
Age range: All ages
Watch out for our Enablers and their pop-up experiments and interactive activities. Test your knowledge, challenge your senses and discover the wonders of physics all around you.
In addition to the bookable activities and drop-in sessions, you will have our 4 large galleries to explore (plus 2 galleries and Creativity Space just for the under 5’s) with tons of interactive exhibits.
What’s included:
- 10% discount in the Gift Shop (only available during the Home Educator event)
- 10% discount off the Eureka! Annual Pass (this must be purchased before 3pm on the day)
Terms & Conditions:
- To book on to the Home Educator event you must have at least one paying child aged 5 years or over.
- Payment must be made at the time of booking.
- If you cancel within 1 week of the Home Educator event, Eureka! will charge 50% of the total cost of your visit.
- No refunds will be given if you cancel on the day of the event or simply don’t show up.
- Cancellations must be sent in writing.
