This programme of additional activities is designed specifically for families with early years children (aka Little Explorers!)

This month’s theme is: Colour Carnival 🃏

The objective of this early year’s theme is to help children learn about colours and how they link to the many carnivals and festivals around the world.

Colour recognition helps children to develop their cognitive skills and improve their vocabulary. Exposure to different colours helps increase creativity and imagination.

During these sessions, children can:

  • Get creative and make their own carnival themed hat 🥳
  • Model a fancy dress outfit and perform on the carnival stage 🎭
(Use the dance action cards and musical instruments for inspiration!)
  • Build a tower, a house, or anything for that matter, using coloured magnets 🗼
  • Find the correct blocks to go together so that the teddy bear images match 🧸
  • Play with the coloured objects on the light table. Can you see through them?
What happens if you put one colour on top of another? 💡

Whatever age or stage your early learners are at, there will be lots of engaging activities for them to be curious, to be playful and to have fun!
