Eureka! is well known and well-loved family and children’s visitor attraction in the north of England. In 2022 we opened a brand-new Eureka! visitor attraction in Wirral. Eureka! Science + Discovery is a high-profile addition to the exciting cultural landscape of the Liverpool City Region, a crucial element in the regeneration of the left bank of the River Mersey, and the only Science and Discovery centre specifically for children and young people from birth–14 in the UK.
Eureka! is looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to lead the technical and facilities function at Eureka! Science + Discovery, ensuring our site, buildings, plant and exhibits are safe, compliant and brilliantly maintained.
You’ll take the lead on health and safety, security, planned maintenance, and contractor and budget management — with the ultimate goal of keeping the visitor experience running smoothly for every family who walks through our doors.
You’ll be a confident, hands-on leader with strong facilities and building services experience, a solid grasp of health and safety governance, and the people skills to manage a small team of technicians alongside a range of contractors.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in building services, facilities management and maintenance
- Experience managing people and supervising specialist/outsourced services
- Strong budget, contract and negotiation skills
- Confidence acting as a health and safety lead within an organisation
- Experience in a charity or facilities environment is a plus
- IOSH membership or NEBOSH General Certificate desirable
