New play kitchen
Our play kitchen has been the heart of our role-play house for many years, and we thought it was about time that we treated one of our most popular role-play areas to a brand new look. We can’t wait to show you what we’ve been working on, with loads of playful new touches to explore and interact with. This does mean that unfortunately our play kitchen is now closed for a few weeks, and that visitors won’t be able to access the living room (as you get to it via the kitchen). Sorry for any inconvenience but, trust me, it’ll be worth the wait.
Improvements to our grounds
From Monday 24 September we’re also working to make improvements to the surface outside the museum. This means that sections along the Yellow Brick Road will be blocked off while we replace the surface. We’re looking into some brilliantly playful touches to add to our grounds over the longer term, but felt we needed to pave the way (pardon the pun) for our longer term plans by laying a new surface in the short term.
Again, apologies for any inconvenience, though the Museum entrance will still be fully accessible to our visitors in the meantime.
Thanks for your patience during these improvement works, and we hope you enjoy our new kitchen when it re-opens next month!
