We're thrilled to bits to announce that we were recently named winners at the Children & Young People Now Awards 2017 in the Learning Award category, for our Access All Areas programme.

I traveled down to London on Wednesday 22nd November, along with Enabler Aby, who was our Inclusion Enabler and heavily involved in our Access All Areas project before she head off to become a SEN teacher.

The Children & Young People Now awards have become “the gold standard for everyone working with children, young people and families”, so we felt honoured simply to have been nominated for this prestigious award. The ceremony itself was at the Royal Lancaster, London, and it was great to hear about so many inspiration people and projects from across the UK. You can read about the awards on the CYP Now Awards website.

Our category, the Learning Award, was for the “initiative that has made the best contribution to improving educational achievement”, with the judges looking for work that has helped children with special educational needs and disabilities or disadvantaged groups such as looked-after children.

Inclusivity is central to everything that we do at Eureka! and we’re constantly looking for ways to open up our award-winning museum to as many families as possible, which is why awards like this mean SO much to the team.

And to the team here at Eureka! (as EVERYONE, across all teams contributes to our inclusivity), a huge well done.

We only went and won!!!!! #CYPnowAwards
